Guide to rack mount the Phenyx Pro PTU-4000/5000 series system

Many users find that the rack case is so deep the rear antennas cannot be flipped upright. This guide shows how to front-mount the antennas on a standard 19-inch rack using the Phenyx Pro antenna kit, for better signal reception.

It applies to systems with built-in rack ears and two rear antennas, such as the PTU-5000A and the PTU-4000/5000 series.

Step 1: Connect the extension cables

Connect the extension cables to the receiver first, which makes the rest of the install easier. Confirm your antenna connector type (TNC or BNC) before you buy the kit.

Step 2: Mount the receiver

Use a small screwdriver and the screw nuts included in the antenna kit to mount the receiver on the rack mount case.

Step 3: Connect the antenna

Connect each antenna to its extension cable on the front panel. Your microphones now have unobstructed signal reception.
