PM-26 — Wired Dynamic Supercardioid Vocal Microphone

The PM-26 steps up to a tighter supercardioid pickup, narrowing the pickup angle to block more side noise — the pick for loud stages where feedback and bleed are the enemy. High-gain, focused vocal capture in a rugged all-metal body.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between supercardioid and cardioid?

A supercardioid like the PM-26 has a narrower pickup angle than a cardioid, so it hears less of the room, the band and the foldback wedges. That extra rejection is why it suits loud stages and rooms that ring. The trade-off is a small pickup lobe directly behind the mic, so place monitors to either side rather than straight behind it.

Will the PM-26 help with feedback in a difficult room?

A tighter pattern gives you more gain before feedback than a wider one, which generally helps in halls with hard surfaces. It is not a cure on its own: monitor placement, how close the vocalist works to the mic, and the room's own resonances all matter as much as the pattern.

What do I need to run the PM-26?

A balanced XLR cable into any mixer microphone input, sold separately. No phantom power and no batteries: it is a dynamic microphone. If you want an on/off switch on the body, the PM-26S is the same supercardioid mic with one fitted.
